John Ringwood
Partner & Founder
Before launching AirGC in 2024, John Ringwood served as Deputy General Counsel and Head of Human Resources at Fir Tree Partners and was a Partner at the firm. His responsibilities included advising on the formation and offering of Fir Tree's investment funds, managing human resources, overseeing regulatory compliance, and supporting the firm’s corporate operations and diverse business lines.
Prior to Fir Tree, John was Senior Counsel at Bridgewater Associates. At Bridgewater, he was responsible for the development and launch of numerous hedge fund products and customized accounts, partnering closely with the firm’s capital raising and portfolio management leadership.
John began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, specializing in mergers & acquisitions and investment management. He earned his J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School where he served on the Michigan Law Review as a Contributing Editor.
Brian Meyer

With over 30 years of expertise in legal, compliance, and operations, Brian Meyer is recognized for driving strategic business initiatives, managing complex transactions, and delivering tangible results in the investment management space.
As Co-Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Fir Tree Partners, Brian played a pivotal role in overseeing the firm’s strategic direction and operational functions as assets under management grew to $13 billion during his tenure. He has extensive experience in fund formation, corporate governance, management company operations, digital assets, artificial intelligence, and tax optimization structures across jurisdictions globally. Beyond his operational role, Brian’s leadership in investment strategy has been instrumental in securing substantial investor recoveries, including multi-billion dollar outcomes from RMBS “putback” litigation.
Brian’s innovative approach to legal operations has led to award-winning novel, technology-driven upgrades to legal and compliance. His prior experience includes executive roles at Veronis Suhler Stevenson, The Official Information Company, Revlon, Inc., where he handled M&A, securities, and financings. Brian began his career as a corporate associate at Latham & Watkins and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
